Shine on PS Moon

The observant will realise that this is an impossible exposure, or you may have even just spotted my bad Photo shopping.

The moon is in the correct place but is on a fast exposure to cut down the light. The rest of the picture is made up of an underexposed sky shot to reduce the flare from the moon and a correctly exposed foreground to get the moon light on the snow.

Honest opinions welcome on any aspect of the shot or editing, I know it could be better given more time.

Canon EOS 30D
30s f/7.1 at 43.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Can't spot the edges, and if you hadn't said then I wouldn't have been looking.

I think you have some advanced PS skills.

It makes for a wonderful, surreal scene,,,,well done on all counts! Only nit I have, is to crop out the trees on the left which are half in frame....and which detract from the splendour of the rest of the image ;)

Can't see the join at all...excellent piece of PS Kevin, and that's my honest opinion. I might have zapped in an upward direction the brightness of the moonlight across the snow at the right, but that's just me. Now, give yourself one hundred lines: "I must not apologise for good PS technique..." :o)
