First Snow, 1999

I took this photo a couple of days before Christmas in 1999. I was decorating for Christmas, sipping hot apple cider and wrapping gifts when the first snow of the year started to fall. I quickly stepped out the front door to capture the moment. I used this photo as the desktop wallpaper on my computer every winter for years afterwards. This was one of the first photos I ever took with a digital camera, a 0.7 megapixel Kodak something that was ridiculously expensive by today's camera prices.

Very nice shot! I don't think I was even aware of digital cameras in 1999! It was another year or two before I was dragged, kicking and screaming into the digital age, and the first one I got was an Epson, quite big and quite awful compared to the ones I have used since!
