Yesterday we lit the second candle on the Advent wreath. The second candle is the "love" candle.
This is from St. Paul's Church yesterday. The first candle is for the prophecy that Christ will come as foretold in Isaiah, the second is Love, the third candle is the candle of joy (or also the shepherds candle), the 4th candle is the Peace candle. On Christmas Eve the White candle is lit to symbolize the arrival of the Christ child.
