It was a short and relatively easy final descent into our third night's camp at Desolation Lake. Desolation Lake was huge, but there were very few flat spots to camp, we managed to find a really nice bivy after searching around for a while. Mount Humphreys towers over Desolation Lake, and would serve as a prominent way mark the following day.
