I never seem to get to the front of this church (or inside it, for that matter, which I will have to do) but have seen it from across the river. Apparently it is the oldest building in Pest, first established during the time of St. Istvan (first king of Hungary, coronated 1001) and then rebuilt after a fire in 1725-39.
