Three images of a White-tailed buck. Last Saturday two of us went looking for a buck, but no cigar. Instead we came across a Coyote who seemed to be stalking a couple of young White-tailed Deer (See http://www.pbase.com/hankvv/image/130136899 )
Presently, two of us had just come across several does and fawns when all of a sudden an eleven point buck appeared at the edge of the woods. The buck was hot-to-trot, constantly chasing one of the does. The doe was not too receptive and led the buck from place to place in the woods, allowing us to get some good shots. Several other photographers joined us at this time. At all times we tried to avoid getting in between the buck and the doe. Later, one of us also spotted an eight point buck; however, it disappeared before having its photo taken. Reportedly an other photographer had seen the two bucks in battle a short time earlier.

A full, front-view, as first spotted at the edge of the woods.
