Mossy stones

I am a sucker for anything with moss on it. To me, there is always an air of ancient mystery associated with moss-covered stones and logs. Sort of Tolkein-ish! This was taken in one of my favourite woodlands in the west end of Ottawa.

It does look like an area Frodo and Sam might have walked through! ~V~

A luxuriant green that makes a wonderful foil for the fallen leaves.

I agree about the moss. It adds a more ancient, primeval look to the scene. Beautiful, Christine!

No surprise that I feel the same way:) Delightful, mossy tuffets, a wonderful place to sit, dream and watch the leaves fall. Very well seen and striking. V
