Nocturnal hunter with distinctive pink eyelids, often seen on exposed branches during the day, solitarily, in pairs and sometimes together with nearly full-grown young. They prey on reptiles, fish, mammals and birds up to the size of ducks, Grey Herons, other raptors and reportedly even Secretary Birds.
