Checking the sources

In an effort to keep the approaching Winter at arm’s length I spent a morning experimenting with new salads.
I used as my guide cookbooks from two of the restaurants in our area that create the most delicious salads.
Cornucopia is a strictly vegetarian restaurant with a strong emphasis on healthy produce and very original delicious dishes.
Their book is packed full of wonderful anecdotes and recipes.
The Avoca restaurant is a buzzing hive of activity,
and one must be prepared to queue to eat.
Their food is a fine blend of old and new styles of cooking and this is reflected in the two excellent cookbooks they have produced.

Oh go on, embrace the winter! Beef and vegetable stews in a slow cooker, roast beef and steamed vegetables; not only delicious but good photo opportunities. Salads can wait for next season. But in the meantime, this is a good arrangement of the books; pulls them into 3D, making them more interesting than they would have been had they all been laid flat on the table.

A nicely presented collection. I hear good things about the Avoca Cafe books so I'm sure you'll create
some wonderful salads.
