Pier Sunrise

Aberdeen, Scotland

I was inspired this week with some long exposure photographs I viewed on the net
Perfect chance this morning on the way to work to try some extreme natural density filters on the sunrise
The results simplify the image and focus on the beauty of the strong sunrise colours set around the Aberdeen harbour pier
Some work with extreme exposures below

This is a stunning shot, Tony - those glimpses of the sunrise clouds reflected in the water are just wonderful. Fab shot...V

The colour is beautiful! I like the smoothness of the sea and the colour of that foreground wave. Very well done.

This is definitely a "Print and Frame" image. Stunning!

The slight motion in the sky and water really give it an esoteric, painting like look that is very unique and really cool. ~VVV~

Great result with the long exposure and small aperture. The colors and lighting are amazing. "V"

Superbly rich colours. Dynamic motion in the clouds, and reflections in the sand.

Outstanding colours give quite an abstract feel to this.

The strong colour palette and long exposure combine really well :)
