This brand new entrance is to the Maqam Ibrahim Salihin, a Zengid-Ayyubid project though the site was first honoured by the Seljuk sultan, Malik Shah in 1086. A rock honoured here is claimed to "date" from the time Abraham paid a visit here (I'd say any rock would date from much earlier, but there is something about places of worship that I seem to miss), on his way from Ur to Hebron. The place, though obviously venerated, looks so modern that the cemetery next door was a relieve.
