They say you cant do this action type of shot with an olympus. Sure you can!

Aaaargh! Thanks Brent, you are, of course, right - so kudos to Shirley & you and shame on me! It is the African Fish Eagle. I had been looking at the Bald eagle ready to fly but I obviously didn't notice that they had 'switched' the birds. Shows how much I look at my own photos....

Astounding shot Frank - looks like his talons are hooked on a fish as well. Amazing!

Hmmmm. Our eagles the beak is all yellow and the white head feathers do not extend beyond the neck:

Thanks everyone. Shame on you though, Shirley. It's an American Bald Eagle. This was a demonstration at Madrid Zoo. It only made two passes so the first to practice and the second for the shot. Brad, the E500 & kit lens is not exactly a fast focuser - you need to pan. Oh for Nikon's 3D tracking AF...

I thought it had a fish, or has one, cannot tell but something is extending from the feet,, this is really a great capture, I cannot get these kind of bird shots because, my camera does not focus fast enough, or I do not anticipate well enough ahead,

What type of Eagle is this? It's a very handsome bird that's for sure! Great moment with that water following the feet out of the pool of water.

Oh, Frank, how on earth did you get this one? Skill is a given, of course. But did you find the bird by sheer luck or planning? What a shot this is.
