Comet Hartley and the Double Cluster

Comet Hartley passes near the Double Cluster (NGC 869 and 884) on Thursday, Oct. 7 as seen from Harrington Beach State Park in Wisconsin. The photo is a single 5 minute exposure using a Nikon D700 and a Sigma 500mm f/4.5 lens with a 1.4x teleconverter. It was taken at ISO 1250.
