Summer Squall Sligachan

Sligachan, Skye, Scotland

Biting midges and torrential showers mixed up with 30 second bursts of sunshine seem to be par for the course in Skye, especially in September. This was taken during one short brief interval where light scoured across the scene providing wonderful stepped differential light, instantly creating visual depth to my scenic choice. The blue grey sky offset the vibrant windblown sedges very well. Marsco beyond only got partially illuminated on one occasion,

The light and sharpness on the grass in the front makes this photograph again special.
