What is it that Life and its lessons
brings into our minds
our hearts
our souls?

The possible answer but the
most perplexing
is 
the frequency that it
teaches us
what we hear,
experience,
and live
but
can never listen
and experience
well enough
to learn.

The experience of love,
the most vital
of life's
lessons
and
the most necessary
is
of its vagaries,
its
inconsistencies,
its
solidity
and, yet
its foundation
so often lost in the
emotional depths
of
man's inability to
grasp,
appreciate
and



accept it when
it is
given from the heart

We doubt,
We question
We examine the words
We test its validity
and
in so doing,
We push away, unknowingly
that 
which we strive
to 
keep,
have,
obtain,
treasure
and most of all
to simply accept into
our hearts
in the totality 
of the gift 
which is given
from
the depths of the heart!

The loss and absence
of
that love
is
in essence,
the loss of our very
life itself!
