Shh.... a quiet word from the three monkeys

of going manual on a compact camera.

complicated than on her beloved DSLR.

Very wise of them; it can be more than a little frustrating. But this worked out quite well anyway. Lost a bit of shadow detail in the middle one because you don't have the same dynamic range as a DSLR, but if you'd exposed any more you would have blown out too many highlights on the right one. Best choice of balance overall, I think.
