Actually a statue of the Roman muse of comedy I believe.

Great found! Theatre, projection of ourselves, or simply hipocrisy? Actually, we wear a mask most of times. I like colour treatement here, it centers the attention in the figure.

You are probably right then, and it does look more tragic. There were several muses in the area, so I probably got them confused. This is a Roman original, over 1700 years old!

This is excellent ~ I very much like the warm tones. It looks like a painting. The downturned mouth on the mask suggests Tragedy, which would make Melpomene its bearer. She was the Greek Muse of this genre; the comic Muse was Thalia. (Don't mind me; I'm an old drama teacher so costumes and theater history greatly interest me).

I think this is my favorite of your three although all are very effective.
