Overcooked?

It was another day of sunshine and showers, making sunglasses and
umbrella essential accessories for going out.
There's just time for a quick dog walk/photo shoot in the evenings
now as it's dark by 8pm.
I like the light on these clouds and tweaked it a bit to make
it a bit more dramatic - not sure if I overcooked it as I
don't normally do much processing.

1/1250s f/6.3 at 85.0mm iso400 full exif

This is a fine shot indeed: a very beautiful skyscape with the swirling clouds connecting the two banks of thicker ones very effectively.

No, not overcooked in my book!! These clouds are spectacular, I like the evening light and I really like that ever-so-delicate rainbow at the right of the trailing virgins, as Phil calls them :o)

I really love the lower clouds but for my taste, I think that upper clouds need a little help. This is a tough scene due to the huge differences in light and would probably require a few hours (which are in short supply with all your daily tasks) of post processing time.

Looks perfect to me, very dramatic, in fact a slight tweak on the contrast might add a bit more emphasis to the stormy clouds. V

You can get away with an awful lot of fettlage with cloudy pics! You've hardly scratched the surface here - but you've brought out the "trailing virgins" perfectly :o)

No, I've seen clouds like that. Sometimes it's necessary to tweak it a bit to get it closer to what it looked like in real life. I've seen some powerful cloudscapes, shot them and gotten them into PS only to find that they looked bland. Alas cameras are yet to see as well as the human eye. This one looks "right" to me.
