The chestnut Miraglia is situated near Camaldoli within the National Park of Casentino Forests, Mount Falterona and Campigna and is named in honour of Mrs. Elena, wife of Commander Miraglia, who at the end of nineteenth century was Director General of Agriculture Ministry.
Its dimensions are impressive; its height exceeds 20 m, its diameter at the base is over 4.2 m.
We cannot know it for sure but it must be over 300 years old.
