U Chiang Mai is a comfortable, although somewhat pretentious, four-star boutique hotel. Because few tourists were around I received a discount and stayed three nights. The best features of the hotel are the excellent coffee provided in rooms; free unlimited internet use; a very central location; and comfortable beds and balcony seating with silk-covered cushions.
