This restaurant is our lunch spot, and it is the only restaurant in Happy Valley, South Africa. This town is the terminus of a popular 5 day hike (The Otter Trail) along the coastline of the Tsitsikama National Park - rugged shoreline, beautiful scenery, and apparently very hard on hiking shoes. There are literally hundreds of pairs of shoes in this tree, which is located in the restaurant courtyard. Hikers head straight here to quaff their thirsts, share their memories, and leave their worn out shoes.
