Another view of the heads

Near Knycena, South Africa

The colorful rocks, action of the tide into the bay area, the heads, the wave action. Since I don't see coastline very often, I was enchanted. This scene is just dowm from the parking area from our restaurant at the heads near Knycena.

The big camera gear was in the back of the van covered up with everyone else's gear, so I took this time to use my S90 point and shoot. I really like the results, and it is stretching me in a new way. I don't really like shooting with my arms extended and not looking through the viewfinder, but it lets me see in a different way. Though I am using full manual mode and raw image capture on the little camera as well, it is a different kind of photographic experience.

I also see a higher level of composition, simpler and less cluttered, when I am using this camera. I will have to explore why that is and how to replicate it in some ways with my DSLR's
