Well, not quite as it was shortly to set off for the delightful Slyfield Industrial Estate!
This is a 1933-built Dennis Dart which was manufactured in the town and was displayed today to mark 115 years of the company, which has always been based in the town.
The company now known as Alexander Dennis makes a good proportion of buses in the UK, and is also known for dustcarts (refuse vehicles) and fire engines, although this division is now in separate ownership.
