9th - Recharging

Cheltenham, Glos.

So we get back from our holidays, complete with Finn's new D3000, and he goes to recharge the battery...only to find that since we bought it at Nelson's Photo Supplies in San Diego, it came with a US lead. Well of course it did, Doug...d'uh! While this was entirely useful when we were State-side, it's of no use to man nor dog here in Blighty where we use a completely different electrical plug

Eeek! A quick amble round Amazon and we find that a two-pin to three-pin shaver adapter (99p!!) will work just fine; we also discover that the old D40 battery is In Good Shape, takes a charge and is useable (but at a reduced power level) in the D3000...huzzah! So now Finn has a complete power-pack solution for his D3000 here in Cheltenham...he need never go short of juice again :o))

Good news Doug. Now all Finn needs is a new WA lens. :)

Good job these things have universal voltage chargers these days - wouldn't want the shiny new charger and battery smokin'!! ;o))
