I used to see it quite often in Kansas too. I'm not sure if you can see it like this here in MN. Now I'm in the mood to see if I can or not. I know the Big Dipper & Little Dipper are harder to see up here. It's mighty dark if I drive just to the north. I love your photo Jack!

oh, to find these skies again, I grew up in the midwest and there were days when the milky way was amazing,, now living in NJ and have seen this in years,
