Crax fasciolata
Serra dos Carajás, Pará
This male Bare-faced Curassow was just one of many that we saw during our trip. Despite the volume of heavy traffic moving in and out of the mining areas, cracids are a regular roadside feature, usually this species, much less frequently Razor-billed Curassow.
