In Australianese, "tucker" is a slang term for food. A "tucker box" is a lunch box. The most famous tucker box can be found in Snake Gully, 5 miles from the town of Gundagai in NSW where a statue of a drover's dog sitting on a tucker box (derived from a poem of the same name) can be found.
Here on Lonsdale Street, though, we make do with the Little Tuckerbox Sandwich Bar which, from the sign in the door, can't seem to make up its mind wither it's open or closed. However along with "ausage rolls" (sic) it does offer "the best coffee in town"... if it does say so itself. I may put them to that test the next time I'm down there.
