Isle Haute is a small, isolated island about 16 km from the coast of Harbourville. Sheer cliffs topped by a dark forest rise 300 feet above the water. Weather, tides, and distance make it difficult to reach the island, and it is perhaps the challenge of reaching the the island that makes Isle Haute so mysterious and alluring.
