The back deck was a great place to view wildlife. A couple of hummingbirds visited the flowers regularly, Cedar Waxwings and goldfinches flew over all the time, and one day we saw a Belted Kingfisher sitting on the telephone wires above the creek which ran into the bay. I saw four species of warbler from the back deck (Yellow Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Ovenbird and Northern Parula), a Great Blue Heron flying over the bay, and a tame Song Sparrow which started hanging around when we put up a suet feeder on the railing.
