If you look VERY closely in the upper middle of the glacier, you'll see a small black dot. That black dot is a group of 5 people with an ice guide walking onto the glacier. As large as this glacier is (covers an area of approximately 2.5 miles), it's astounding to think of it as it was 125 years ago at twice the size it is now.
