According to Sydney Airport Corporation's figures, almost 33 million passengers passed through during 2009. It's probably safe to bet that most of them who weren't George Clooney's character from Up In The Air had some check-in baggage.
That means an awful lot of baggage handling and consequently no small amount of baggage handling equipment is needed.
