One of our rarest and protected species. It only breeds where there are Water-soldier plants. Also one of the most difficult to photograph as it is extremely skittish.

Hi Torben!

So, you finally tamed Aeshna viridis. Excellent shots you have got, really pleasure to see such shots of them!

By the way, we have got two new species this summer: Anax imperator and Sympetrum pedemontanum ... also one quite sure sighting of smaller yellow brown Aeshnidae, most likely Aeshna isoceles, but no document on that one... Ofcourse, I haven´t seen any of these new comers...
