During the summer, Glacier can get quite crowded. But there are ways to beat those crowds. One way is to head over to the Two Medicine area. It takes some effort to get to that portion of the park (if you're staying on the Western side of the park, it takes a LONG drive on the GTTS highway, leaving the park traveling south, then re-enter through the Two Medicine entrance. But it's well worth the effort. On this day, there were bear warnings, but they had not yet restricted the activity to 4 or more hikers, so I headed out for Twin Falls. Taking the longer North Shore route, this trail is 3.8 miles one way. There is a shorter route by taking a boat across Two Medicine Lake, but the additional miles are well worth it for the scenery and wildflowers duringthe summer. This is a shot of the trail towards the beginning of the hike.
