During the restoration of the house by its new owners, the condition was found to be beyond economical repair.
The front section of the house, forward of the chimney was found to be a log cabin! Wood was salvaged to be used in a
future rebuilding and part of the foundation and the chimney remains standing.
Among those taking residence over the years were Rev. R.F. Caldwell, Undertaker John Sharp, Sr. and Clell Toy (1894-1975).
