The Honey Pot

Boise, Idaho

The first cell block was built in 1870, with more cell blocks built with prison labour in later
years. Up until the day it closed, the prison still did not have internal plumbing in some of the
older cell blocks. A riot broke out, in which several inmates were killed. Another occurred in
1973, prompting the closure of the facility, and the transfer of all those incarcerated within to
other, more modern, facilities

Good angle on this shot. Must have been horrible to wake up to this everyday. Voted

Great descriptive shot. It looks like a real hell-hole! Well done.

What a stinking mess that prison must have been.
Can smell it of your great picture.

This is really a tiny room. As you mentioned earlier, not everything was good in the old days. Very interesting to read your description. V

This bleak scene is perfect for your bw work! Nice job with the lighting, it must have been a tough shot under the tight conditions.
