Well, that was fun! I hope you didn't get too airsick during our flight (I told you not to eat all those Twinkies before we took off!). Right now we're on our way home, flying by some cumulus clouds associated with Typhoon Cecil in August of 1982. Clouds on the outside edges of a tropical storm pretty much resemble the clouds that you can see anywhere on a typical summer afternoon. I used to love flying up close to clouds like the ones you see here. You could actually watch the clouds boiling upward. Be careful, though, they're pretty bumpy if you should find yourself inside one! |
