Boy was this a cute, and somewhat clueless little bird. I was running some errands in west Eugene after birdwatching at Fern Ridge, and in the middle of one of the parkinglot entrances was this blackbird chick, with parents feeding it. As cars pulled into the parkinglot, the tires came what seemed to be inches from running over this bird. I did a u-turn, and quickly went back to the parkinglot to rescue this little one.
I placed it along the edge of a bushy area, where the parents continued to feed it.
