One of the Massive Dredges setting on the Tundra around Nome. These things are massive, you could easily sit 6 adults in one of the Buckets seen in this Photo. These Buckets run along like links in a massive Bicycle chain scooping pay dirt from the bottom on the lake they create as they eat up the tundra in front of them, from what I have been told these dredges finally went silent aroung 1975 but still sit where they were shut down, ready to go back to work.
