Today is the Friday before the big 4th of July weekend. By this evening the KOA Campground will be packed with people. This KOA has lots of kid activities, which is certainly an attraction for parents with little ones. You have to remember that this is coastal Oregon. This morning it was raining pretty good when I spotted a mom and her youngster out for a stroll in their raingear. The little tyke looked pretty forlorn. But she should be optimistic because the weather calls for a nice Saturday and Sunday here. We certainly hope so. I am scheduled to be in costume at the fort tomorrow, and wearing buckskins in the rain is not much fun.
A scene I have witnessed a few times.
Sitting in my van watching the rain.
But the rain never once stopped me going away in it.
Got trapped in a field for three days by thick snow once.
The gas bottle froze solid.
The good old days.
