Thanks Bob & Olaf. @ Olaf, above and to the left of the beam was an opening to the bridge and the sky above (I shot from a road which passed underneath). To the right was open to the street, which was wet from a brief sun shower. It was quite sunny and bright when I shot, so I do believe the reflection from the wet street added to the interesting lighting, and certainly caught my eye. I'll return there again, and compare the lighting on a dry day, as I had not really consciously thought about it. Excellent observation Olaf. Thanks!

What I assume is reflections off the water, really makes this photograph special. The additional light source (water reflections?) from the opposite direction of the main light makes the viewer have to look twice to understand what is going on. Good eye catching this, Peter!

Good capture Peter and very fitting of this theme.

Imaging how time consuming it was to rivet steel together like this compared to more contemporary methods such as welding?
