Enjoying the Sun

Southern Vancouver Island

It was good to see our old friends had survived the winter and resumed their habit of basking in the sun along the edge of the pond. They're always fun to watch and can be amazingly quick to disappear if startled. Red-eared slider facts: Red-eared sliders are omnivores. They eat everything from small fish and snails to a variety of aquatic plant life. While the juveniles prefer small creatures, their older counterparts tend to eat more plants. They prefer to live in quiet, slow-moving waters with muddy bottoms and plenty of aquatic plants. ~ Buzzle.com

Your turtles are so brightlycoloured! Ours seem boring after this. A great shot with the hard light handled well. Well done.
