2nd - Wet

Cheltenham, Glos.

On the way out to work this morning, I noticed that the the poppy I photographed the other day had suffered a bit with the overnight rain, but that the water droplets under the dull overcast light made a perfect macro shot...

Still grappling with the focus of this lens - the bottom left is badly OoF and detracts the eye somewhat, but I'm experimenting with getting the DoF and focus spot sorted...any tips from the more experienced macro shooters out there gladly received!

Great job in getting this color, the lighting conidtions were perfect. The droplets are fantastic and you got some nice textures too. Yes, wow f/40! My guess is f/4 as the minimum aperture of the lens is f/32.

Cripes - F/40! I'd get the foreground in focus and let the background fall away. Other than that, you're not going to get it all sharp without some focus stacking (take several shots with different focus distances and then mingle them together afterwards). :o)
It's a cracking bright'n'blobby red though :o)
