Awww, you're going to become an avid birder now that you live in such a nice warm climate? I like this and the scene really looks simular to our local area. I like it and good job with the high ISO!

It took a very short time to photograph this guy. my camera battery was was in the warning mode so I was lucky to capture this one pick. immediately after shooting the camera shut down and I was not even able to see what I got if anything.

i spent a half hour this morning trying to get a Blue Heron, picture,, he watched me every minute and would fly off to another place on the pond when i got close to him,, and that was even with the 70-300mm,,, very nice colors here

I can see you stretching forward, hunting the egret, even as the bird is stretching, hunting prey. The saturated greens and reflections in the water combine to make it look like a painting. --Stefan
