Toni - CB
by Collin Baxter

Toni can be a little thief. She had just stolen something and buried it (Red Mouth)and " Me no never" . I was quiet
impressed how this came out as it was very overcast and dark. I am using Viewer 2 to process the
RAWS and although there is still a bit of noise but there is still detail. Also the DOF is very
narrow on the shoot Even a f/10-449mm-Bigma). I set the noise reduction to standard and there is still
some detail. I am starting to like Viewer.

A marvelous character study of this adorable dog!! She looks suitably (and rather boldly) guilty.

Brilliant! Hard to imagine this is at 449mm and ISO3200. Maybe I should trade my E-620 and 70-300 for an E-30 and Bigma...

Oh yeah, Toni is on the lookout for ... whatever. This is a terrific oil portrait. --Stefan

Thanks for the comments.
Toni is quite a character she is 2 years old and is my daughters dog who lives with us (Both of them). Behind that sweet cutie little face is a very smart, sneaky, cute little dog and a thief. We don’t leave eatables on coffee tables (or about that height) after having to pry her jaws apart to remove the box of chewing gum she had stolen , or hearing the coughing in the bushes to find the roll of Halls throat lozenges she had stolen and was eating. I think she some times steals because can. She was a rescue puppy and our experience with these dogs is that they are smart , loyal and thieves. The well breed Lab is a lovely gentle dog but a bit of a Doffis and a bit blond, who never wants to get into trouble. The other two will take their chances

Oh my gosh! What a darling dog. He/she is like the dogs version of a calico. What a colorful little sweetie. I love your photo and her face!

this is a very attractive dog picture. there is something very compelling about it His eyes tell me he is not a thief.

What a picture Collin! More of a painting than a photo - it just feels so alive. Wonderful!

OH by the way, the dog is cute

I would not know that this was taken at such a high ISO,,,the point of interest is the dog, that has enough texture, that noise is not evident,, and the back ground,,this is like a (gasp), a film picture, film grain,, I think that many digital photographers, who did not grow up on film come to things at a different perspective, HD, totally clear is what they know, that is why the Impressionists were not liked at the time they started painting, it was not high definition (realism painting)

I don't believe she stole anything. A dog looking this cute doesn't do stuff like that. She is innocent!
