This church is standing by itself in the middle of an area of the Lower Ninth that was totally destroyed by the rushing floodwaters. The empty lots surrounding it are overgrown with weeds. I do not think this area will ever be rebuilt as a residential community. This is on the north side of St. Claude Avenue towards the lake.
