I ended up on Sparks Lane. The clouds looked really good for a spectacular sunset, but as it often times go - it didn't happen. The sun ended up behind the clouds at the critical time and this was as good as it got. I headed back to my campsite and began preparing for an early morning exploration of the loop. Earlier in the day, I had noticed a lady a couple of camp sites over. She was by herself, so I didn't want to freak her out by approaching. I had seen her vehicle on the loop also and she noticed mine and me shooting. Luckily, she broke the ice by asking if I got any good shots as she passed by my site. Turns out she was shooting also, so we had a lot to talk about. She planned to get up early also, so we agreed on a time to leave together. The gate for the loop is opened at sunrise and cars begin lining up before hand.
