Local Flooding - take 2 - Turn Around

On the way into work this morning I remember the weather forecast saying 'heavy showers leading to local flooding'. They got it spot on - my normal pictures of a sunsets have been replaced on the way home by torrential rain and flooding. Half a mile futher on apparently there was several feet of water. A detour back and south was required to get home, two miles back along the road there was no rain.

I feel for you - having survived the July 2007 floods I know how horrible they can be...just to cheer you up, it's been wall to wall blue skies and high temps (26°C) today, with more of the same (but hotter) forecast for tomorrow :o)

Great photo journalism Chris ... not like our weather forecasters to get it right ... it was a beautiful day in town!
