After spending some time moving back and forth along the ridge trail I realized that I had seen the vireo in the same bush all three times. So, we stood and watched the bush and finally caught a good view of both male and female individuals bringing what looked like bark strips to this tiny fork in the bush. The beginnings of this nest sit about two feet off the ground. We never left the trail, pretty cool.
