Fire Truck - Brad

Westfield New Jersey Fire Truck

I learned today from a fire fighter that the black breathing kits in the back of the fire truck use air, not oxygen which makes sense considering how flammable oxygen is.

Great perspective.

Endika, good critique, this is the first revision, trying to preserve more details in the clouds, they were pretty blown, so this is about as much I could preserve

I think that the contrast boost worked well to enhance all the details in the truck and fire fighting stuff. But at the same time, it burned the clouds, that would have been interesting to preserve... maybe a bit of layers+masks work would have helped.
Anyway, it is a very appealing image :o)

Thanks for the comment, Brenda,

not HDR, I have never done that,, but in Lightzone, there is relight the brings up things in darker areas up in value,, and boost in contrast,of course I realize this image is not entirely natural, but hey,, I never shot a fire engine before,,,

I'm assuming that this is HDR as well as a wide-angle shot. It's very effective and the perspective is quite unusual. I like the shot very much.
