This was taken at Sunrise about halfway up the western shore of Lake Pukaki in New Zealand. I know the exif info shows differently, but I neglected to adjust my camera clock for date and time differnce from home in Oregon State USA. The wind was blowing a steady 40kph gusting much higher. Mt Cook lies 40km distant straight north from where this was taken. A storm had been blowing in the previous 24 hours when we arrived at this bed and breakfast farmstay. I was so disappointed as we had traveled a great distance to photograph the area, and I didn't expect it to clear before we had to leave.
